This mod will add a dislike system for your threads, or a down vote system if you will. Thread(s) that will be disliked for x amount of times can be set to several moderation actions automatically. They are as follow:
Lock Threads
Moderate
Remove from public view
Move to a forum of your choice
You can also set 4 criteria for threads that you do not want to be disliked. Those criteria are as follow:
Start Date Criteria
Replies Criteria
Views Criteria
Last Reply Date Criteria
You can disable thread disliking in a certain forum and/or forums as well.
When you dislike a thread, you can also enter a reason as to why you are liking that thread. The reason is optional but can be set as required as well. For guests there are added measurements against spam, such as they will have to complete the captcha in order to dislike threads. Also they can not use invalid emails, emails that have been used to register an account at your forum or emails that have been banned.
To prevent abuse of the dislike system, a daily limit restriction on how many dislikes a group can give, is set in place.
Thread starters will get an alert whenever when one of their topic(s) will be disliked. If they do not wish to get notified about that, they can disable the alert at their profiles > Alert Preferences > Thread Dislikes.
They can view the threads that they have disliked by going to their visitor navigation area and click Threads You've liked link.
Users can also view and prune all dislikes that their threads and/or threads have received. (Group Permission).
An overall overview of all thread dislikes in your forum can be seen at ACP > Tools > Disliked Threads View Log. There is also the Recount And Rebuild tool. Running this tool will delete all dislikes given and received in deleted threads and by deleted users. Note that this may take a while in big forums with large numbers of dislikes. You can delete the dislike entries as well as clear all dislikes. You can also search for dislikes left by users.
You can also delete all dislikes given by an user to a thread(s) in one fell swoop. To do that, when editing an user, under the Action drop down tab there is a new option added called: Delete All Thread Dislikes. Click it and run it.
After installing the mods you can set the group permissions under the Forum permission tab. Whereas the settings of the mod can be seen at Options > Dislike Threads. Set them accordingly and save the changes.
Threads cannot be disliked based on certain criteria, such as:
Start date
Last reply date
Number of replies
Number of views
You can set threads that receive dislikes over the set threshold to do the following
Lock thread
Send to moderator
Remove from public view
Move to a specific thread
