Your first step is to download the add-on from your customer area. You will be asked to provide some information before downloading. Once downloaded, save the .zip file somewhere you are familiar with. Next, you will want to extract the files. After that is done you will need to upload the contents inside the upload folder into your root XenForo directory. You will then need to install the .xml file. To install the .xml file, login to your XenForo admin control panel. Navigate to Install Add-on under the Add-ons section in your navigation. To install you can either: Search for the .xml file after clicking on the button, or copy and paste library/Audentio/AdManager/addon-admon.xml to install the file from the server. Congratulations! You should now see a tab titled "Ad Manager" on your top navigation bar. You are now ready to start creating your ads. After you've got it installed and working, you might want to check out some of the amazing features that come with this product. Click any of the links on the side to jump to that section. If you plan on using the Packages feature of [AD] Monetize Pro to sell ad space on your site, you will next need to download and install [BD] Paygates. [AD] Monetize Pro uses paygates for a secure method of payment between the users and yourself. (Note: If you do not intend to sell ad space to the users of your forum, you may skip this section and start creating you Advertisements now.) Your first step is to download the add-on from the XenForo Community. Once you are logged in to XenForo, Click Here to be directed to the [BD] Paygates download page. Click the Download Now button, and save the files somewhere you are familiar with on your computer. Next, you will want to extract the files. To create an ad using the [AD] Monetize Pro add-on, navigate to Ad Manager and click "Create New Advertisement." The types of ads allowed are image/text links, HTML, Google AdSense, and Google DFP. Ads can be enabled or disabled for later use. To set the run time for an ad, you must uncheck "advertisement is indefinite," and fill in the dates below. Advertisement ID The Advertisement ID is a unique identifier to allow the software to find the specific ad. IDs may not have spaces. Advertisement Type Advertisements may be image/text links, html, Google Adsense, or Google DFP. Advertisement Owner This field is only applicable to ads from users of the forum. The owner field must match a current user. If the ad is not from a user, this field should be left blank. (Note: this field is primarily used for users purchasing ad space from the front-end.) Weight The weight of an advertisement sets the rate at which the ad will occur. (i.e. one ad set at a weight of 2 will appear twice as often as an ad in the same zone set at a weight of 1.) The suggested values for weight are multiples of 10 (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc..) Weight only affects ads that are in the same zone. Weight does not affect grouping. If ads in a specific zone are set to rotate, you can choose to "enable weight based rotation" in options. Devices [AD] Monetize Pro allows you to set which device types on which to display each specific ad. You can choose a between desktop, landscape tablet, portrait tablet, mobile, or any combination of the four. You can also set a custom minimum and maximum width as well. To edit specific viewport widths for each preset option, navigate to [AD] Monetize: Viewport Sizes in your optionals panel. DFP Options [AD] Monetize Pro 2 allows users to utilize Google's DoubleClick for Publishers. You will need to navigate to your board's options and set your "DFP Network ID" under [AD] Monetize: General Options. After setting this you can choose the 'DFP' advertisement type, and you will be given a new "DFP Options" tab on your "Create/Edit Advertisement" page. DFP Unit Code This is the code you set to identify your DFP advertisement unit. Targeting Options In this area you can pass certain parameters to Google DFP to help filter ads based on your content. In the first box you need to put the key (such as threadTitle) that you want to pass to DFP. The second box is for the variable in the template (such as $thread.title). If the variable you have chosen is empty or does not exist it will not be passed. Examples Show ads in specific thread $thread.thread_id Show ads in specific forum $forum.node_id Show ads in specific page $page.node_id) Show ads in specific category $category.page_id

[AD] Monetize Pro has a built in system for managing multiple ads through grouping. Ads within the same group can all be edited with XenForo's user criteria. To Create a group, navigate to the "Advertisement Groups" tab in your Ad Manager. Ads can be assigned to a group either at the creation of the ad, or by editing a current ad.

[AD] Monetize Pro has made placing your ads neatly on your site very simple. To view all zone options, navigate to the advertisement zones tab in your Ad Manager. In addition to having pre-made zones to choose from, you can create custom zones with the Create New Zone button located at the top right of your page. Maximum advertisements and rotation speed for ads can be set by editing a specific zone. Ads can be assigned to a zone either at the creation of the ad, or by editing a current ad.

[AD] Monetize Pro gives you the ability to sell and ad space on your forum. You can create packages, manage zones, offer coupons, and track statistics for you ad spaces. To Get started follow these simple instructions below: Your first step is to create a new user group (We suggest naming this group "Advertisers") (Note: You will need to enter the user group ID in step 3. To find the ID for your user group, look in the address bar. The number follow "advertiser" is your user ID. Example: admin.php?user-groups/advertiser.5/edit, where 5 is your advertiser ID.) Set the permissions for the user group you've just created. At the bottom, allow "Can purchase advertisements packages." Next you will need to navigate to your XenForo Options, and select [AD] Monetize: Become Advertiser. Check "Enable Feature," and set the Advertiser Group ID to match the user group you created for your advertisers. If you have not installed [BD] Paygates, you must do so to collect payment for purchased ad space. Advertiser Applications Before users can start purchasing ad space from your forum, they must apply to be an advertiser. Users may find the Become Advertiser link in the footer of the page. They will be prompted to provide a reason for wanting to become an advertiser. Once they've applied, their application will appear under Pending Advertiser Applications in the Ad Manager, and can either be approved or rejected. Packages [AD] Monetize Pro has made it easy to offer advertising options to users using Packages. A package consists of a Type, Zone, and Price To create a package, navigate to the packages tab and click "Create New Package". (Note: package must be marked as “active” to appear as an option to purchase for the user.) Type Advertisements may be "click based," or "length based." When set to click based, users will pay per every click the ad receives. If your ad is set to length based, users will pay for a specific block of time. Time can be set by days, weeks, months, or years. You may also choose whether to allow users to set the length for advertisement run time, and to request a start date for their ads. Zone When creating a package, you must specify what zone it will appear in. You may only specify one zone per package. Pricing Ad Monetize supports 5 different currencies (USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, and GBP.) Currency can be set per individual packages, or can be globally set. To set a default, navigate to [AD] Monetize: General Options in your options panel. Awaiting Approval Once a package has been purchased by a user, it will appear in Awaiting Approval. You can navigate to this tab to review the ad that is being requested. You must approve ads here before they appear live on your forum. Pause Users have the ability to pause their ads, and resume them at a later date. Paused ads will not appear, and therefore no clicks will be deducted during a paused period. (Note: If a length based ad is paused, the time of their ad will continue to run during that period, but their ad will not display.) Coupons With [AD] Monetize Pro, you now have the ability to create coupons for your ad space. To create a coupon, navigate to Coupons under the Packages tab. You must set a name to identify your coupon. The Promo Code that you set will be the promotional code the user enters to receive their discount. The discount can be set to either percentage or Set Amount. When set to percentage, if no decimal is entered, it will default to the end of the numeric value. If Discount Type is set to Set Amount, the currency will be inherited from the package it is applied to. You may choose to set a minimum transaction account that the coupon may be used for. You can also set the start and expiration date for your coupon. Tracks number for uses for each coupon.

[AD] Monetize Pro allows you to track data to help monitor your ads. Statistics is a great tool to maximize profitablility by placing your ads in the best place for success.The types of data that are recorded are clicks, impressions, and income, and can be searched by zone, group, owner, time frame, or any combination of the four. Recorded data is displayed on a graph on the statistics page. An impresssion is tracked any time an ad appears on your forum, while a click is recorded only when the ad is clicked on. Total clicks, impressions, and income are also displayed on the control panel in your main Ad Manager panel.

As of [AD] Monetize Pro 2.1.0 you now have the ability to automatically replace any links with your own affiliate link (for example, ebay/amazon links) You are able to set a prepend and append specific text to the URL, as well as find/replace specific text in the URL. You're able to set specific conditionals for the affiliate links to ensure the link is only modified in specific instances. You can even use the entire XenForo user critera system (as well as any custom user critera created by third party add-ons)!
